Clifton, Colorado Overview

Clifton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in Mesa County, Colorado. It is situated on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains and is part of the Grand Junction Metropolitan Area. Clifton is bordered by the Colorado River to the south and is approximately 5 miles northeast of the city of Grand Junction.

As of the 2020 census, Clifton had a population of approximately 20,000 people. The area is known for its scenic beauty, with the nearby Colorado National Monument providing numerous opportunities for hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities.
