Montserrat

Montserrat is a small island country located in the Caribbean Sea, specifically in the Lesser Antilles and the Leeward Islands. The capital and largest city of Montserrat is Plymouth.

This charming island is celebrated for its breathtaking natural beauty and verdant landscapes. It boasts magnificent volcanic peaks, with the prominent Soufrière Hills volcano standing out. This active volcano has significantly influenced the island's topography. Tragically, the eruptions in the 1990s and early 2000s forced the evacuation and abandonment of Plymouth, the former capital. Today, the southern part of the island, known as the Exclusion Zone, remains inaccessible due to ongoing volcanic activity. Despite these challenges, Montserrat continues to captivate visitors with its picturesque scenery and the resilience of its people.
